What stores?

I have way too many miles on my current sneakers. The outside heels have absolutely NO tread left and are almost 1/2 or more difference from the other side of the heel. I am not certain what kind of runner that means I am, but know I need to be 'analyzed'.
Where do I go...any suggestions at all?

I'd suggest a New Balance store if there is one near you. They are very thorough about what shoe works best for you!0

Sorry...I disagree with new balance store. If you go there you only get a choice of New Balance shoes. And while theyare agreat for some runners, the don't work for others.
I don't know where you live but many states have a Fleet Feet or just google "running stores" in your area. You are looking for a specialty running store that carries ALL brands.
Good luck!0 -
I like the stores Running Soul, or the running store....they measure your foot and arch and consider what you need it for.0

I agree with Kcgslp. New Balance work for me, but I have narrow feet. Try to find a dedicated running store in your area. Where I live, the place to go for good advice is Gazelle. Their staff is terrific, they watch your gait while walking and running, ask questions about your workout schedule and ask about your price point so you don't fall in love with shoes that are $400 when you only want to spend $100.0

Do you have any athletic store that may offer a large veriety of running shoes in your area? I would check that first. ALSO, DR. Scholl's has a Custom fit foot machine in our local Wal Greens and Wal-Mart. It identifies the foot and where you put the most pressure. You take your results to the person in the shoe dept. to help you decide which shoe accommodates your feet.0

Definitely check out the Asics website. You can customize your shoes. Asics helped restore my arch and have lasted me almost a whole year of running everyday & being a full time camp counselor ALL summer.0

I'm not sure where you live, but the running room in canada is pretty sweet0
