i keep going over this and last week i've gained 2 more pounds but i am following everything all together - is it muscle ? will it shed later?

if you drink alcohol - how long does it take it to get it out of your system ?
how long do you retain water ?

could somebody put their food journal as a sample maybe ?
- i want to learn on divide snacks and food -

other than fruit and nuts do you guys know what other snacks i can use ?

What hours do you eat ?

8am(Breakfast) , 10am (snack), 12pm(Lunch), 2pm(snack), 6pm(Dinner)

Does this sounds ok ?

Does your vitamins effect your weight ?

Does anybody do any Green + shakes ?
Is it too much to have Green+ shakes and breakfast at the same time?

Thank you guys for your answers and help -

i weigh in on thursdays and try not to drink any alcohol wednesday as i think my body retains the water, have been disappointed with the scales when i am drinking the night before :blushing:
  • you are probably gaining muscle, don't worry, it will even itself out. Alcohol stays in your system for 24-48 hours, but the alcohol starts metabolizing after a few hours. What times you decide to eat depends on your schedule. I wake up at 5 I exercise and drink a few cups of water. After that I usually eat breakfast at 9 lunch at 11 snack at 2 dinner at 5 and sometimes a small snack (90 cal granola bar) at 7. hope this helps

Hi there:flowerforyou: are you eating enough calories? to your answer of how long do you retain water there is no definite answer it depends on loads of things. Have you read all the info for newbies.

I have never had the same meal two days running. I just log my meals as I am about to eat them or have already eaten them. Suppose I am fortunate to know more or less how many calories each meal consists of.

Are you measuring yourself?, that way you should know if it is water or muscle.

Have you tried logging your meals before you eat them, or log a full days meals and then you will know how many calories you have over for snacks treats.

I have not changed my eating times since I joined here, I eat when I am hungry.
I even have my last snack at about 8.30/9.00pm otherwise I eat rubbish because I get the nibbles.

My vitamins do not seem to affect my diet.
I always thought green shakes were as a substitute?

You unfortunatyely may have to chop and change your meals and excercise programs and see what works for you.

    Good luck.

I gain and lose an average of 7-10 pounds and it has all been water weight and failing to eat enough to sustain the calories I've burned on my workouts.

I suggest only weighing yourself one time a week and then, on the same scale.

    Increase your water intake.

EAT YOUR FOOD!!! If you are skipping meals or eating less and working out more - this is a killer. You are destroying your progress.

If you are doing all the above - chances are it is water and you do not need to worry. Sometimes the scale does not matter. Take your measurements - this is a good way to guage your real progress.

Trust me - I just broke this cycle and it had been going on for more than 9 months.
