Hi, is anyone going to try to stick to their allocated cals on Chrissy Day? If so, what kinds of things are you planning to eat? I am not going to worry too much about counting cals on that day, but I DO want to make wiser choices food wise, so thought if anyone has ideas of yummy treats that are lower in fat and cals we could share them here....

  • I'm going to try to stick to my 1200 a day on Christmas and Thanksgiving, but I sort of doubt that I will since there's so much good food. Portion control is key though, and eating lean meats, vegetables, and only having a bit of dessert are what will keep you under your limit.

Ughhhh...this is way too early for this talk. Can I get through Thanksgiving before I have to think about Christmas?

Do you think we could wait until the first holiday meal panic of the year is out of the way before we start in on Christmas?

We have a big Christmas in our family (families actually), where we have gluttonous amounts of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner), all with different parts of the family and in different locations. Our busy schedule means there is NO time for exercise during the day so I'm going to blast it a couple of ways... I'll have a massive cardio session (I estimate about 1500 cals) worth the day before.

I'll have a half serve of what I would have had previously at each meal too. Not going to beat myself up too much, I know I'll go over. Just don't want to leave myself with that bloated feeling that makes me want to sit on the couch for the next two days :P

What are you talking about? Christmas is the next holiday for me, and most of the rest of the world.

    Christmas Day.

I am planning to go absolutely balls to the wall! One day. I will eat everything and anything i want. Walls Vienetta with clotted cream on top. Liquor chocolates by the box. All the coke i can manage.

It will be fun logging that! Wonder if i can reach 5 figures for calorie intake? :P
