Stuffing yourself, stuffing your turkey, or both?

I have made such great progress on my diet over the last month that I'm already stressing a bit over how I should handle all of the Thanksgiving day temptation. Should I allow myself a day of freedom to enjoy whatever I want - stuffing (my mom makes THE best stuffing), mashed potatoes, and pies galore? Or try to be good and eat just a little of the things that aren't so bad for me? I'd hate to take a step backwards in my diet, but oh my(!), those Tuurkey Day foods sure sound delicous!

So, what's your plan of attack for the day?

You don't get fit and healthy in one day, and you don't lose all your hard work in one day either. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Indulge. You don't have to go overboard to enjoy it.

My mom told me "Eat nothing, taste everything."
I plan to follow this plan.

This is so true!! My plan is to get up early, get a good run in, and enjoy the rest of the day. I'll eat some of everything I love and feel absolutely no guilt!!

Why don't you eat what ever you want until you're full? You can stop when you're full, not stuffed.

I am just going to enjoy the day. It is one day. Not going to stress over it.

Mashed potatoes are actually good for you in moderation. They are high in potassium. We make ours with skim milk and onion salt. Only 35 calories in 1 cup. I take this site as a lifestyle change not a diet. Teaching us to eat in moderation and using correct portion sizes.
