ok i have been trying to build muscle and my strength for a while now but was scared to eat at a surplus because well im scared to get fat....BUT today while lifting it hit me. In order to reach my goals i need to fule my body. I also read a post someone posted about a girl named staci that eats about 3000 + calories a day and lifts and looks amazing. and i do not want to be lifting all the time and not see results because i am not eating enough to build....so im upping my calories, putting the scale away and am hoping i build muscle mass and stregnth without blowing up like a puffer fish! i will also still be eating alot of protein with less carbs with limited processed foods and trying not to eat after 8pm since this seems to help me. so here i go!! im a little nervouse but i really want to reach my goals and have a toned, muscle filled body!!! wish me luck and if you have any advice please share

10-20% over maintenance is a good amount of calories to shoot for.
I wouldn't put the scale away though, you need to make sure you're gaining.0 -
I'm glad to read this. Too many people are scared or in a rush to really tweak thier diets and get the results they really want.0
