My name is Eddie. I'm a 35 yo husband and father of 3 girls. I live in Colorado. I've struggled with my weight most of my life going from periods of thin to fat to thin again. I've been on a weight loss kick since about February, and managed to lose 35 lbs on my own. I started using this website about 3 weeks ago and have managed to loose another 5 lbs logging my food and exercise. I'm about 5 lbs away from my weight goal. This is my first time posting on the forums.
I'm finding that right now seems to be the hardest period I've experienced. Not only am I dreading the holidays, with all its unhealthy food, but my body is having some serious cravings for sugary foods. I'm going to try to be strong. If I can make it through the holidays just maintaining my weight it will be a huge victory, but if I can drop my last 5 lbs that would be awesome.
Then there is the issue of maintaining my weight for the long haul...this is where I find that I have failed in the past, but I'm sure this time I'll find some way to solidify these good habits and keep the weight off.
I'm thinking of seeing a nutritionist to get some advice on what I can eat throughout the day to curb my cravings while maintaining my weight. I already see a physical trainer every once in a while, and I found that helpful.
Anyway, that's my story. Hello all!

Hi! Welcome. I'm impressed with your progress! Good job.
I'm a father of 3 girls too. We should probably start a support group just for that.
Friend me if you'd like to.0 -
