I've been trying really hard for 1.5 months. Lifting a lot, limiting my cardio. Eating an average of 2600 calories a day. Look, now I'm HUGE:

Oh wait, no I'm not, cause it's damn hard for a woman to put on muscle mass. I've gained 3 whole pounds and some of that is probably fat and water.

Yeah. My squats and dead lifts have more than doubled. My arms suck but I think that's due to an injury.

3 lbs in 1.5 months is good progress. make sure your lifts are going up, and keep it up for another year and you'll put on some muscle.

Can't say for sure. I've been measuring things like my bicep and my quads but the measurements haven't seemed to change. Some pants of mine were tighter in the quads than they had been a few months before indicating those might have gotten bigger. But really, at this point it's just a guess. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3lbs gained broke down to 1lb fat, 1lb water and 1lb muscle.

Rachel, you make me so happy and proud!!! We have different fitness goals, but you're still my hero. I'm suddenly afraid I won't be able to keep up with you if we do try to go mountain biking or snowboarding!! I gotta step up my game.

I still need to step up my game. These pounds won't lose themselves! But, fat as I am, I've always had really decent cardiovascular health, so I have that going for me.
