Okay. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here. My weight loss goal is set at 1/2 lb a week on a diet of 1200 calories a day. I have been able to keep this up (yeah) and after about 2 months or so I have lost 4lbs. I'm fine with this because 1. I've read that the slower you lose weight the slower you gain it back and 2. People are actually noticing the weight loss even though it's only 4lbs.
Now I have just read somewhere on MFP that once you have lost weight you adjust your settings so MFP re-jigs your calorie allowance for each day. If this is correct then what happens to me and others who are on 1200 calories a day because MFP wont allow a calorie allowance of less than 1200 because your body goes into 'starvation mode'.
Any ideas anyone or am I being dumb?
Thanks

1200 a day is too low in my opinion. When I lost 35lbs, I made 1400 my daily priority. Now, since Ive reached my goal weight, I readjusted my setting on MFP and it calculated it to be likle 1650 a day or so to MAINTAIN. So I wont lose anymore. Not sure if that helps.

what is the questiong? sorry blonde! when you go to reset for maintenance it should tell you how many calories you are allowed to eat in a day. prob around 1500

If you are small enough and your weight loss desired is a half a pound a week, your calorie count is not going to be below 1200 anyways. You are still going to be burning way in excess of 1200 calories even if you are brain dead. Don't worry, you will lose, might be slow like you currently are but you will.
