Today I'm Thankful!

Also today I work! I'm still thankful after having been out of work for 3 years.

It's difficult to see the blessings when you get so mired in the things that haven't gone your way.

Here are a few:

Have three great kids who finally understand what I went through with their mother. Unfortunately their mom spent some time recently in a mental institution. Way to big of a price to pay for them to understand how difficult it was living with there mom. They made some tough choices that no one should have to make.

A wonderful Mom. Couldn't have made it without her and I told her so. She bought me a new Air Conditioner when my old central air went out during this very hot summer even though she's on a fixed income and must watch her budget diligently. She paid my Auto insurance so I could drive legally to work after I finally got a job.

A supportive Brother who often lectured me a bit much but he was there along with his wife who I annoy and understandably so.

Friends that have believed in me during these 3 difficult years and never lost touch with me or faith in me. They checked on me often even though they faced their own trials. They always offered encouragement and solutions. I received my CPA license in July of this year. I could not have done that without their support. How can you repay people like that!

So today and every day forward and many times in the past I'm going to take a moment to count my blessings.
