I bought something similar years ago. It sends electrical impulses to you muscles through your skin. If not properly "lubricated" with the contact gel it can hurt and kind of burn.
And I didn't get any results.
So if it's the same concept, I can't see it working any better than the trash I purchased all those years ago.
If it's too good to be true...0 -
None of these silly gadgets ever work. Diet and exercise work well, though.
Sorry, but there aren't any shortcuts. Save your money.0 -
Was wondering this myself... I tried a similar product a while back, and it does make you feel a lot firmer in the regions you use it.
But I am not sure if its really a replacement for a proper workout..0 -

A few years ago I splashed out on the "athletic" strength Slendertone Flex Max which at the time was one of the strongest and could be used while doing other exercises. I used it while pedalling my exercise bike.
It did tense the muscles enough to ache the next day, but with no visible difference, especially under the layer of lard I was sporting. Plus it only works where the belt is - if you do an abs workout as part of a class or DVD you'll be working far more of your core including transverse and lower abdominals. And if you do something like Body Pump, you'll work your back too, which is important for balance and preventing injury.
Also, a full abs workout takes no more than 10 minutes - with the belt, you'll be going round the house with a sweaty middle and unable to open the door for a full half hour!
Think about it, the system was designed to stimulate the muscles of people in comas to prevent them atrophying, so although better than nothing for the sedentary, there's no discernible effect for the active.0 -
Hmm, just as I thought!!! xx0

When I first used it I didn't see much results but when I started exercising regularly, and eating a more balanced diet, I noticed a lot of difference. Now it's part of my fitness regime and I just put it on whilst I'm watching TV. It's good to know that you can be sitting on your sofa and doing sit ups at the same time.0
