Hey everyone, I am really considering buying a HRM but my main workout is boxing right now and I was wondering if it would fit under the gloves? Id probably only check it when we take breaks and at the end of the workout to see how many calories have been burned...

probably...just might be a little tight. It's just a watch on the wrist so you could even try it out before buying it

It hurts like hell when you take a hit on the chest strap. I suggest not wearing it.

I wear gloves for kickboxing and it's not comfortable to wear my HRM's watch unit underneath.
I moved it further up my forearm instead.
It's okay during drills and bag work, but I wouldn't wear it during full-on sparring, TBH.

I box and have a HRM with chest strap. I put the wrist strap around the shoulder part of my tank top....don't trust it to work proper under the glove.

I wear a HRM while doing boxing training (hitting pads and that)...I don't take body shots or anything (I'm only just learning right now and do it more for fitness than to learn to fight.)
I put the watch in the zip pocket at the back of my running tights rather than wearing it on my wrist.

I find it very uncomfortable to have the watch under gloves. I wear it further up my arm or in my pocket drills and conditoning work. Going live I have worn it a few times (with a skilled, controlled partner so we could test it) and find the calorie burn to be close to bag work, so I estimate from there.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. I only plan on wearing it when not sparing. I guess it will just be trial and error until I find the best spot for it.
