Allergic to Zinc?

I have recently found out that I am allergic to zinc? Really? I can't take any immune boosters or supplements with zinc in them or I get deathly sick to my stomach and have to find the bathroom quick. Anyone else have similar problems?

    That really sucks =/ Never heard of that before either! Although, my boyfriend got zinc poisoning last winter because apparently he took too much too close together (he would take 1 tablet a day, but took it late one day and early the next :S). I don't know how I would live without zinc :P

    Isn't it just your skin that's sensitive?.... It's in a lot of food including veg and chicken so that surprises me...

    i have a friend who is allergic to the supplement form.

    I think it is only supplement form because I am drink a shake with zinc in it and I only feel alittle bloated. I am also allergic to anti nausea meds too which really sucked with all four of my pregnancies I threw up all day along for 6mnths. My grandma had a condition that she couldn't wear any form of metal because her natural body chemistry would eat thru it.
