Okay I have been doing really well sticking to my calories, but I am about to go over my sodium. I still have 700 calories to eat but I will diffenitly go over my sodium.
So my question is how bad is it if I go over my sodium level?? I want to eat my 700ish calories, but will go way over.

A healthy range for sodium is between 2300-2500mg per day. Are you eating a lot of processed foods? they have tons of sodium in them.0

I probably always go over my sodium. I love salt. I salt everything.
So far, my blood pressure's just fine. I get it from my dad whose blood pressure is just fine too. So until a doctor tells me to lower my sodium intake...0 -
Me too!!! It sky high. Some things I cant help though. I am using a low amount of dressing. What dressing dont have high sodium?0

Well I was trying to watch my calories really well today, but I forgot to look at the sodium. I had a lipton cup of soup that was 45 cal, but had 540 g sodium. I already have my dinner planned out so we are having boxed betty crocker cheesy potatoes, but trying to think of something else to have. I need to get it used up and get it out of the house. So eventually I will have to make it. Its hard to not eat processed foods with a family and I am really new to this, so I don't have a lot of recipes!!0

I, too have a problem with sodium intake. Today I'm going to be at least 500 over! But I'm going to try drinking more water to make up for it. I also am watching the new foods that I buy...no salt added tomatoes and veggies, and no more packaged rice mixes...they're outrageously high!0

I know I am struggling to get away from the box stuff. It's hard when that is what you are used too and I not sure how to make it at home with the same flavors!0 -
I LOVE SALT! We are a salt family! I don't have any advice for you because I can't stick to anything myself. My husband puts salt on bacon! His blood pressure is fine. I would ask your doc and see if it is affecting you in a bad way or if it is okay. :happy:0

Eww salt on bacon lol.. I know what you mean. I planned my food today and I am at work so I cant change it now. I will be over by 1000 that really bad. What jacked it up are the dressings and progresso soup I love salt too. I try not to use it but thats the salt not even added yet, Wow looks like I wont be adding any salt today.0
