Candied Sweet Potatoes - Question?

Okay - I made Candied Sweet Potatoes for dinner. The potatoes were only about 70 calories per serving. I made a sauce of melted butter, orange juice, brown sugar and cinnamon which really sends the calories over the edge. Since I drained the liquid off before serving, how would you count the calories? Doesn't seem correct to count ALL the liquid, even though I realize some liquid soaked into the potatoes. Any thoughts?

Ugh, I hate when I do stuff like that & have to try to figure that. I'd just count about half of it0

I would just add in everything. Deciding how much liquid you are you using in each portion versus how much is not being used... is kind of splitting hairs imo.0 -
I would have figured out the calories for all the liquid as you put it in, and then again on what you threw out, the difference is the calories... just a thought for next time... this time maybe aim high?0

I would just count them all.0

I'd either divvy up the liquid and eat it...or estimate...count maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of it.0
