Hi everyone,

Quick question - does anyone have the 6th generation and does it keep stopping on them? I have a full battery, sometimes in my hand, sometimes in my "CD holder" pouch, using it while walking then the music stops - even when using the earphones that came with it...

I used the I tunes download to update my nano... the CDs I used didn't have any scratches....

Totally stinks - any suggestions?

Take it back - shouldn't be doing that. Mine works perfect no matter what.

Before you return it turn off the "shake to shuffle" setting. See if that helps...and is something you can live without if it works.

When it "shuts off" does it have a white circle looking thing on the screen?

If yes, first make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way (you may also want to try replacing the headphones before you take it into Apple).

Mine did this (would play for a bit and then would shut off - with the white circle looking thing on the screen). They told me to make sure it was updated (done), told me to check my headphones were connected all the way (done) and to replace my headphones (done). It kept doing it. I finally had to take it in because it was totally freaking out. They replaced it.

The one they replaced it with? Well, the screen ended up with a dead spot on the screen. I couldn't use it. Wouldn't let me update it, etc. Took it in again. They replaced it.

This is my 3rd one in less than a year. I would NEVER, EVER buy another Apple product.
