Okay I have a weird question but could anyone of you lovely people help me with my homework. Basically I have to write an epitaph (engraving on a tombstone) for a coal miner who died. Anybody creative enough to come up with something?

    "Which side are you on?"
A slogan from a 1930s coal miner strike...
I like the dark side of this on a tombstone.

    Bill "Lastname"
"8 hours for work, 8 hours for sleep, 8 hours for what we will"
"If you work to hard , you'll end up like Bill"

I'd still be alive if we'd use solar power!

Or do your own homework instead of using someone else's work to get the grade... I'm pretty sure the assignment isn't, "Ask a bunch of people and pick the best one."

Yup. That assignment isn't even that difficult. You are writing barely a sentence.

In really small letters at the bottom write:

"Ouch, step back, you're standing on my balls!"

What kind of teacher gives an 18 year old this kind of assignment? It's a 7th grade assignment at best. I'd like to have a word with him/her.

I like the "diamond in the rough" angle. I'm sure there is more to the assignment than just this, or maybe meaning behind the assignment. I tend to give teachers the benefit of the doubt because there are all kinds of methods to get students to think. Regarding your asking for help, meh, not a biggie to me. It was my understanding you were just asking for ideas, and not for someone here to do the assignment for you. Hope we gave you some good ideas to go on!
