When I first started doing early morning workouts I really sweated loads but I'd have sauna belt and bin liner to make me sweat and in early days took capsiplex to give me the energy to exercise for an hour or longer.

Now I've got much fitter I can exercise without the extra energy boost but I still using the sauna belt to make tummy area sweat more, that usually is still sweating alot and have lost 12" off it, but overall I'm not sweating as much and not getting as hot, I thought it was cos I stopped using the Capsiplex so tried it again with a 5 am session but I'm still not sweating anywhere near as much as I did when I first started out. (I used to get really boiling hot and get a prickly heat sensation)

Is my body just used to exercising?.. got fitter?... I'm trying some different exercises I've never done before too and though I have sweated a little in middle of day doing new routine without all the extra sauna vests and Capsiplex, when I didn't before, I'm still not like sweating buckets like i was before. I've wore extra jumpers, fleeces over sauna vest, bin liners, tried weighted belts and weights on arms and legs but I'm still not getting the same 'burn' as I did when I first started.

Am I still burning the same amount of calories if aren't sweating as much doing the same routine and will I lose as much weight and tone up as much if I can't get the same sweat on that I used to? I've still got another 19lb to go and want about another 6" off waist and tummy. I'm not sure if its cos I just had to take 2 weeks off from back injury so maybe subconsciously I'm not pushing myself quite as hard so don't pull back again?

To me I don't see point getting up at 5am anymore if I'm not gonna burn any extra than I would exercising in the middle of the day, but just wondering why I'm not getting the same effect?

Sweat is just water weight coming off, not fat. I work out in lightweight clothes and stay as comfortable as I can. I have never been much for sweating and have never tried to induce it. Calories are a measure of energy consumed or expended. Sweat is just sweat. You may be burning fewer calories due to being more fit and weighing less, but not due to sweating less.

sweating is your bodies defense mechanism to keep your body core temperature down as you begin to get hot. have you noticed that you sweat outdoors in the heat even when you arent exercising?? same process. so dont worry about how much you sweat worry more about how you can raise your heart rate during exercise.

ok.. I wondered if it was just cos I was really unfit to start with and 2 stone over the top end of healthy for my height!.. I was 1b off when I weighed on Thursday (10st 8).. according to internet sources I should be between 8st 7 and 10st 7 for my height.

I wanted to get to about 9st 7, but want to finish Wii Fit game which says I should be 9st 3 (133lbs) and have a BMI of 22 so trying to get down to that to complete the game, but will settle at around 9 and half or 60kg/132lbs.. ish.

I've started some Boxercising games which I can do from chair and gets heart rate up, and hoping to get new game and the glove accessory for xmas along with a Pilates game as I can do quite a few of the floor exercises in Pilates too and they focus on Core strength which is important for my condition as it reduces 'shakyness'.

I have surpassed my xmas goal anyway which was to reach 11st for xmas so I'm ahead of schedule. Is it going to be harder for me to get these last 19lbs off? .and if I make my body weight heavier by using wrist/ankle weights/weighted belt will I burn as much as I used to when exercising?
