Polar FT4 playing up...

All was fine for a few months, but now while im exercising my FT4 will say my heart rate is like over 200 for a while...

Then, itll go to 0 for a few moments.

Any idea why?

hmmm, not sure, but maybe you need a new battery?

    yah...perhaps a new battery.

also, make sure you store the strap away from the actual heart rate monitor.

do you rinse it every wash? wash it every five?

Why does the watch and strap need to be stored separate? I always keep mine together in the bottom of my gym bag is why I am asking I have to FT6

If you leave it connected it will drain the battery.

I've read that gym equipment, tvs, cell phones etc can cause interference, also to make sure the nodes are moist and undamaged.
