What did you have? The traditional thing I had was homemade baked mac and cheese and potato/string bean casserole, but my non traditional food was bunless burgers and buffalo strips and wings. That's right, no turkey for moi! Gobble gobble!

Name your nontraditional courses!

We had steak, asparagus, salad, rolls, sweet potato casserole (the only "traditional" item) and red velvet cake for dessert. :)

    Here is my menu:

Nut loaf with homemade marinara sauce
    Quinoa cornbread/leek/toasted walnut dressing
    Black-eyed peas
    Potatoes Oregano
    Artichoke croquettes with Cajun remoulade
    Cauliflower piccata
    Pan-seared Brussels sprouts
Fresh green salad from my fall garden
Pickled beets and okra, put up by me in the summer (separate items, not together lol)

    Bananarama pound cake
    Baked sweet potato pound cake
    Peanut butter/caramel toffee

Oh, and a roast turkey breast that I hate to even mention but that my non-vegetarian husband insisted on. This year, I caved. By next Thanksgiving, he'll be eating my way. ;-)

Our tradition is a Standing Rib Roast in memory of my mother who died 36 years ago....she hated turkey but LOVED Thanksgiving. We are having turkey today with all the fixins and leftovers galore tomorrow while we watch college football! Go DAWGS!!!!!!

We had black angus T Bone steaks from a cow that I fed all winter long last year on the farm I work on. WOOT ....grilled on an open fire and salad. My husband had a baked potato too. Best Thanksgiving dinner I have had in years!
