Calorie Monitors - Heart Rate Monitors - Help Needed

Bodymedia Devices - Bodymedia makes a variety of devices that monitor through a variety of sensors (skin temp, sweat, accelerometers) ways to detect motion and calorie expenditure. I have several questions for those knowledgeable on the subject.
First, I was just curious if anyone can tell me the real advantage of the Bodymedia "Advantage" over the slimmer "Core" model. Anyone using the "Link" model ...happy with it? or is the bluetooth a pain? Are there any better calorie monitors out there?
I burn calories a variety of ways and there seems to be no ideal solution on how to monitor all of them closely.
Dancing - creates several issues for inline pedometers and HRMs (Heart Rate Monitors). In addition, for people on some medications that block heart rate - unless resting heart rate is used to calculate zones (fat burning, cardio) the zones set up are not correct for that person. Dance can vary quiet a bit in effort and direction (up down, side to side, spinning etc). Measuring calorie burn accurate seems that it would require this kind of system (BM).
Swimming - Poses an entirely different problem. Waterproof monitoring. Any thoughts? Best things out there?
Weights - Again, BM monitoring seems to be the best solution.
Looking for people with experience monitoring this type of information for their input! Thanks
