Good choices post-"fast"

So it wasn't a REAL fast, not in the traditional sense. I had a 4 day, 3 night trip for Thanksgiving and I have IBS that flares REALLY badly during travel. In order to combat that I just didn't really eat much. I have had maybe...1,500(?) cals since Sunday (it is Friday now)...

Now I need to "make up" a little. I don't really need to drop weight I am just trying to tone up a bit etc. I haven't weighed since I got back but I am betting I lost at least 2-3 pounds...

What do you suggest to help get my strength back a bit? That is the hardest part right now as I am a bit weak and tired from lack of proper food.

  • You are currently burning fat, not sugar, if what you describe is accurate.

Don't blow it now by carbing up.

Have a some nice fish, a shot of virgin coconut oil, eggs, dark leafy greens maybe. (not sure what sets off your IBF but I bet grain does not help)

Why do you think carbing up will "blow it"????

As long as there is a caloric deficit, it doesn't matter.
