Hello, Hello! I'm Danielle. I've been on MFP for a couple years now...I can def thank MFP for my weight loss. Unfortunately, these past months, I've been slacking!! MAJORLY!!! I ran a 15k a couple weeks ago, and it's sad to say, but that was the last time I worked out! I love running, but the Chicago weather is making me not want to run. I hate, hate, hate running long distance on a treadmill. So this is what I decided, I'm starting the C25k plan, again and right after that I'm training for a half, hopefully for spring. I figured I could do short distance during the winter and then start my half! I need some running pals for motivation! So if you love running, add me for some motivation!!! =) thanks, all!

  • I run on a treadmill, sometimes for up to 7 miles. I really like it. I like adding hills and sprints into the programming, to keep it interesting. I really just like the hum of the motor and just putting one foot in front of the other. It's sort of a meditation.

I live about 3 hours away from you in Kalamazoo, MI. This is my first time running through the winter, so I can definitely commiserate. I'm training for my first 1/2M in May. :) Feel free to friend me, if you'd like!

why don't you just around outside?? I would shoot myself if I had to do long distance on the treadmill. Layer up when you go out. Stay near main streets or even by the lake to get your distance in. I LOVE running in this cold chicago weather. Then again, I still got some meat on me to keep me warm :)

I'm about five hours north and I run mostly outside through the winter, so we can be buds. I've got my second half next may.
  • The hardest is getting started. Think about the satisfaction and how good you are going to feel having done it. We are just coming into summer here and I am finding running in heat more draining. Our winters aren't quite what you experience though!
