Seriously. I love ska and would relish a come back of the saxaphone. I think Kenny G maybe ruined it?

I firmly blame Kenny G for making it seriously uncool.

Don't forget about Quarterflash! I played alto sax in jr.high and high school and I loved Quarterflash because the girl lead singer also played the sax. Great instrument! Used to be so classy in the 40's, too with the great swing music.

It is probably due to the changing musical tastes. I have enjoyed trombone, trumpet, clarinet, piano, and saxaphone music throughout the years. Suddenly, it seemed as if the most played music had either electric guitars or plain old country guitars and the louder they screeched, the better. I really enjoy music that has words which I can use in public and a tune that I can hum along.

I majored in saxophone in College. Have played since 4th grade.. Kind of glad I play piano too though. Kind of hard to sing love songs to impress the ladies when playing saxophone.

I was just listening to an Ani DiFranco song on my shuffle list called Swing that has some great sax in it.
