    I know, they're not fun to do, but man do they work your butt off, literally!

  • I had a couple yesterday!!

    The first one works your hamstrings and butt. Lay flat on your back with your knees in the air, feet flat on the ground. raise your butt and lower back off the ground. Raise one leg until it's straight and keep it in that position. Then slowly lower your butt. Continue to raise and lower your but. Your butt should be completely off the ground, at least a couple of inches. This REALLY got my heart rate up!

    The second was almost like doing a lunge but instead of going straight back, you go back at an angle. Keep one leg planted and the other leg goes back behind the other (almost like you are crossing your legs but they are further apart). Hope that ones makes sense, it's hard to describe and I can't find pictures. Bodies in Motion with Gilad on FIT TV had these exercises.

    Another one I love is getting on all 4's (get on your elbows instead of your hands). Keep your back straight and abs pulled in. extend one leg all the way out and lift and lower it. There are many variations to this too. Make sure you get both legs.

  • Mandersen, the 2nd one you're mentioning is called a curstey lunge - it's like you're curtseying. Yeah those are a real killer for the butt and outer thigh!

    What she said. I HATE them but they produce results, especially if you put a weighted bar on your the meaty part of your shoulders/upper back!
  • YES thank you!! Oh my gosh i thought I would die. He also changed it up a bit by after you lunge, lifting up your knee and then just staying in place and lifting up and down, I thought my butt was going to catch on fire!!! :tongue:

    Sit down squates..
    Grab a bench
    sit and cross one leg
    then get up without letting the leg uncross

    12 on each side will get you good

    8 min buns. I couldn't get thru the whole 8 minutes for the first few times!

    Donkey kicks and isolated presses to the ceiling. You're on you hand and knees. Draw knee to chest and up. Then just press the heal upwards and squeeze. Those are supposed to be 2 of the best.:huh:
