I have a unique situation to limit my diet to only a few choice meals a week.
Can I eat the same,
egg on toast
chicken breast
salad
spinach
whole wheat roll
wpi yogurt / green smootie
at 1400+ calories a day, workout daily, and drop more than usual weight, all the while keeping it real healthy?
I HATE TO COOK... pls give your practical advice.

My advice would be not to limit yourself so drastically unless you have a medical reason or can't afford groceries. If either of those are the case, I'm sorry.0

I don'think you need to cook. That is not "healthy" by itself. What you need to do is watch the macros of carbs/protein/fat. I have mine at 35%/35%/30%. he standard MFP goal is much lower in fat. Each one of us responds differently to the macros. The only thin I would do is toss in a few 100 cal snacks like carrots and humus, peanut butter and a banana and stuff like that. Tuna and nuts, as well as chic peas are good sources of protein so you don' get board.
If you are talking about not eating a few times a week, you'll probably go into starvation mode and not lose like you want to.0 -
As long as you stick to you calorie goals and have a deficit of 3500 calories at the end of the week you will lose weight. -3500 calories = 1 pound ....so the bigger the deficit at the end of the week the more you will lose. But slow and steady wins the race. Your choices seem healthy....if you can eat the same thing all the time then go for it. Me personally I like variety and find it exciting trying too find new low calorie recipes.0

If you are repeatedly eating the same things, you may be missing out on some vitamins and nutrients. I would get a good multivitamin supplement.0

everyday the same meal with little exception except for fruit/snacks...multivitamin, most definitely...
and yes this is wholly because of budget and doc's orders to drop the weight.0 -

If it's the latter, I would think that you could find more variety for your money. Try doing a search using the search function above for the words "cheap" or "budget". Folks have provided some great ideas in the past for eating well on a smaller budget.
Personally, eating the same thing frequently has made me more susceptible to indulging in items that are outside of my nutrition goals.0 -

It won't hurt to eat the same meal a lot - I mean I would be board. So here are some cheap ones. Beans, they are cheap, and you soak them and then boil them. Lots of protein and fiber for cheap.
You can get veggies in most stores that are end the end of their shelf life. So you eat them that day. I got 6 apples for a US dollar. You can add lemon and lime juice to celery which is also pretty cheap. Beware of pasta - it's cheap but a killer.
Good luck.0 -

Gordo is right about it being a type of sugar cookie in the U.S.. usually has cinnamon sugar on top. Don't know if he's serious about the long underwear part.0 -

Good! Very relieved to hear that as snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie and I'd hate to start associating them with longjohns!:laugh:0 -

I don't see why the same boring diet, day in and day out, can't sustain someone....how long are you looking to continue, and how about substituting in beef and/or fish.
seems like an ordinary supper at my table0
