I have been visiting my inlaws for a week now and They have done nothing but feed me and I have done nothing but EAT what they feed me. I stepped on the scales today and I am 9 lbs heavier in a week! I have still done my running 4 times this week but is this really possible? 9lbs?

Water retention, my friend. It will go away almost as fast as it came on. Just keep drinking water to flush out added sodium, keep working out, and make the healthiest food choices you possibly can. Also - if you're traveling, that tends to not help things.

I feel your pain. I gain very easily but now completely believe if I go back to what I should be doing, eating etc... it will come off quickly. Enjoy your family and stay focused so you can resume your personal program soon.

Don't underestimate the weight of food and drink. After a small meal with a drink you can weigh in at 3 lbs heavier... so maybe you've gained a few, but it could be water weight or if you had just eaten. Ok, and gross info warning!!! --> I find I can sometimes weigh up to a lb lighter after I pee and poop. lmao! Sorry, had to share that. xo :D
  • You probably gained some of that is actual fat, but to gain 9 pounds in pure fat you would have had to eat 31,500 calories MORE than you burned. Most of it is probably water weight dear. Drink lots of water and you'll flush out in a week or so. :)
