Can someone please describe them to me? How they work, how long lasts the daily workouts...I'm from Montreal and never saw any commercials explaining what they are...Plus if you happen to have any results from those workout, that would be great! I was thinking on asking 30 day shred for xmas... please help me

Well i'm not sure with all except for P90X its great, shows great results and is intense. everyday is different, there are multiple CDs and each are different, like for instance one is yoga, the other cardio, plyometrics etc.
I'd advice you to get P90X, if your healthy, where you have no leg pain and so.

30 Day Shred is from Jillian Michaels(from the show Biggest Loser). She is awesome! The DVD contains 3 weeks of workouts, 30 minutes each. She's released a newer DVD that is similar and even better called Ripped in 30. It has 4 weeks of workouts that are all 30 minutes each. I just did it for 30 days and I feel awesome. Ripped in 30 also comes with an online diet you can follow for optimal results. The workouts are short so you need to do them 5-6x/week, but they are DO-ABLE and you'll stick to it.
P90X was developed for men, I think. It's pretty intense. Obviously, women can do it too but it sort of build you up muscle-wise.0 -
My personal ideas in short of them
30 Day Shred - circuit training
Insanity - cardio
P90X - weight training
30 Day Shred videos only last 30 minutes I think and there's three different levels. They work all parts of your body in one workout. I liked them...I didn't do the full 30 days (it's supposed to be 10 days for each level) because I get bored of doing the exact same workout every day but they are good videos. I have heard of lots of people having knee problems while doing it...I never had knee problems until I tried doing it almost every day... As name says it's a 30 day program.
Insanity is much more cardio. The first month of workouts are 40 minutes, the second month are 60 minutes. You do a lot of cardio moves, mostly cardio moves but you do squats (which are usually like squat jumps and such) and push ups. The goal is to push yourself as hard as you can so you go at your own speed instead of following them on the screen. I didn't do the program either for this one because...I just never wanted to I guess. You have a monthly schedule with each day labeled for what you do so you're not doing the same video over and over and over again. I really really liked these videos. They get me sweating even if I'm not giving my all. There's lots of jumping and such so you have to be very careful and have really good shoes if you wear shoes. I go barefoot and never had a problem. This is a 60 day program. The second month has "max" workouts so you're not doing the same videos the second month.
P90X is more weight lifting mostly. The videos are around 60 minutes each (yoga is 90 minutes). I really enjoyed doing the cardio videos but hated the other ones. They have a video for each section of body pretty much...like arms and shoulders are one video, legs and back are one, etc. And I just can't do ONE HOUR of one part of my body. I prefer getting full body workouts in instead. Plus you have a lot more required equipment. And this is a 90 day program.
Overall, I have heard lots of people having really good results with each program but I think it also depends on what you're going for.
30 Day Shred - overall slimming and toning
Insanity - more so slimming and cardio improvement\
P90X - more for building muscle
ETA: Ripped in 30 by Jillian is a great workout as well as somebody else mentioned. I have done the first two levels and really enjoyed them.0 -
I have done all of the workouts and here are my thoughts:
1. 30 Day Shred - It was the one I started with because I love Jillian Michaels. The workouts are the shortest of the three programs you mentioned and to me, are great for those who are getting into the workout routine again. Jillian is awesome and pushes you. Honestly for me, I did not get to where I wanted to be with this but I have heard great things about it!
2. P90X - This changed my life. It consists of weight work, cardio and yoga. I started this when I was at 151 pounds and now am at around 104 pounds and have kept it off! It's a lifestyle change and I love the Beachbody community. You will need weights/bands, a pull up bar, possibly a yoga block and mat and lots of water and determinationP90X is a 90 day program you can do different programs depending on what your schedule and goals are! It's awesome - it is life changing.
3. Insanity - I did this after P90X and it is really tough but I loved it! The fat really did melt off like hot candle wax. Like P90X it is intense and no joke. Insanity is a 60 day program but you only use your body so no weights are needed. In my opinion starting with P90X is good to get your body ready for Insanity BUT everyone is different.
I can tell you because of #2 and #3 I have been able to run, maintain around 13% body fat and be more confident than ever! I am a Beachbody coach also so if you want any additional advice please contact me0 -

Perfect! This breakdown is exactly what I've been hunting for in past P90X topics. I'm currently doing 30DS and am planning to try P90X when I'm finished.0 -

Absolutely love this! I have all 3 and was so nervous to stick with P90 because I thought I would build muscle and not lose weight. But this makes me rethink that! I just started 30DS and think I'm going to do RI30 for these 30 days as well, and after I think I will try p90 again. I did only 20 minutes of Insanity last week and I get what you're saying about P90 maybe getting my body ready for Insanity. Thanks much!0
