I have never seen this before. I don't know if any others have this issue. I have a 22 month old toddler. When my husband and I eat, he has to have a few bites. Tonight, he had a bite of the main part of the pizza, and then ate the crust of the pizza. Wish there was a way to adjust for toddler bites on all types of food.

Estimate the percentage of the slice of pizza he ate (if he took a few bites, then ate the entire crust, I'd say at most that is 1/3 of the slice to him) then log the rest as what YOU ate.

ex: 1 slice of pizza 100 calories
toddler nibbles at some, then eats crust OR you eat some, then aren't hungry and put the rest away
2/3 slice of pizza 67 calories

you want to log accurately how much you ate, you can weigh it before you put it away, or take a similar piece, rip off the crust and weigh it then compare the totals

I wouldn't bother subtracting bites and nibbles - unless they add up to a 1/4 or more of what you're eating. At that point you'd log .75 or .5 (or whatever) of what you were eating.

This is not really an exact science so those bites and nibbles will give you a little bonus calorie cushion. A toddler will soon be having his own portion any way.

i wouldn't stress over it, esp considering unless you made the piazza and weighed everything out, the calorie count for said pizza is just an estimate anyways.

Just think of it as a few bonus calories in your diary. Nothing is every truly accurate, so no stress.

 It was funny. Just a whimsical thought. He took a whole slice from his Daddy, and ran off.

Toddlers only need a few bites to meet their recommended daily allowance.
