Oil free Low calorie salad dressing.

My sister found these and shared with me so I thought I would share with you! I have made both of these and love them both. I even used them for my vegie dip this Thanksgiving. They are thicker than traditional salad dressing but just as delicious. Becaue of the fruit pectin in the Herb dressing I had to thin it with a little watter after storing in the fridge.

:glasses: Oil-Free Herb dressing
1 TBS powdered fruit pectin
3/4 tsp. snipped fresh oregano, basil, thyme, tarragon, savory, or dill, or 1/4 tsp dried herb, crushed
1/2 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 TBS. vinegar
1 small clove garlic, minced

1. in a smallmixing bowl stir together pectin desired herb, sugar, dry mustard, and pepper. Stir in vinegar, garlic, and 1/4 c. water. Cover and chill for 30 minuets before serving. Cover and store remaining dressing in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. makes about 1/2 cup

Nutrition facts per tablespoon: 8 cal, 0g total fat, 0mg chol, 3mg sodium, 2g carbo. 0g fiber, 0g pro.

You can also make a creamy verson as follows:

:happy: Oil-Free Creamy Onion Dressing: Preare as above, except increase the sugar to 1 TBS. Stir in 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions (2) and 1/4 cup plain yogurt wit the vinegar, garlic and 1/4 cp water. Makes about 3/4 cup.

:smile: Low-Calorie Thousand Island Dressing:

1/3C. plain low fat yogurt
2 TBS light mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 TBS chili sauce
1TBS finely chopped green or red sweet pepper
1TBS finely chopped onion
1Tbs skim milk
1/2 tsp paprika
1 hard-cooked egg white, finely chopped (optional)

1. in a small mixing bowl stir together the yogurt, mayonnaise, or salad dressing, and the chili sauce. Stir in the chopped sweet pepper, onion, milk, paprika, and if desired, chopped egg white. Serve immediately or cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes about 3/4 cup.
