Best exercises to lose weight

I wanted to know what were good exercised to lose weight so I googled it. I cannot remember the exact order of all of them but, step aerobics was #1 and biking was #2, (which made me happy), elliptical was #5, (surprised me). Other exercises were swimming, rowing, walking, jogging, horseback riding and dvd s. I wanted to pass it on.

  • Thanks so much, will definately take it on board, been working the rower which I absolutely love, doing intervals. Cycling and treadmill and also elliptical. Very interesting info with elliptical, will focus harder on this one as I lack co-ordination.

    I don't think there's really a best one really as long as the person likes it and wants to keep going at it. A type of exercise is really useless, if the person is only going to do it a few times.

    I've done most of the Jillian Michaels videos and didn't see the type of results I wanted. Same with Tae-bo, step aerobics, running. I walked for miles, and that was good cardio for me, but I wasn't seeing definition in my body. I was skinny fat -- great number on the scale but wasn't digging my body. Now I'm doing Power 90 which seems to suit me fine as far as cardio and strength training goes. You just have to find what works for you.

    I'd really like the old school bike my HS had, but I haven't been able to find one.
