I went over my cals today by 800 and I can do an hour cardio and burn those 800 but is that realistic? I know with weight watchers we were only allowed to use so many of our activity points ie: even if we earned 10 exercise points we could only use up to 6 i think it was.

whats your take on this? will I still lose weight if i go over 800 each day and then burn them with cardio?

I think its different for everyone...what else to take into consideration is what kind of calories were those 800..good ones or empty ones....I think if they were providng good nutrition your fine...but if its junk food then you will have issues..just my opinion i hope it helps...personally I dont eat my excercise calories but a lot do and they have success as well.

Yes, because you're supposed to eat your exercise calories. MFP already builds in a calorie deficit to make you lose weight, so if you don't eat back the calories you burn off, your body won't get enough calories each day in order to function and you could go into starvation mode.

Little tip though....work out to burn the calories, then eat them back. If you make a habit of going way over and then counting on exercise to make up for it, there may be times when you don't get time to work out or feel too tired, etc.

This is true as well....some kind of junk food you love once in a while is ok but those exercise calories that you eat back shouldn't always be junk food. You'd still probably lose weight because you wouldn't be going over your calories, but junk food won't provide your body with the nutritional value that it needs.
