I usually take Zumba Sunday's and Monday's in the basement of my dorm. But today we decided to go to the Rec Center and take Zumba by this other lady. The class was not intense at all, and I knew only 2 songs the whole hour, and the rest were in spanish...:noway: Usually I am sweating balls after my Zumba class, but I didn't sweat at all! Is this how Zumba is at other places? At my normal class, we do pop songs like Womanizer, Chihuahua, Low, and La Vida Loca.

I teach zumba, twice a week, it's all spanish "zumba" music, and once a week it's with music that most people would know, I try to pick music that is very upbeat and even if you don't it, you still have fun, I also encourage my more advanced participants, to use handweights to add intensity, to jump higher, squat lower on the shuffles and lunge deeper, I encourage them to use more floor space, all this will help increase the intensity of the workout.

Usually, our songs are half pop, half spanish zumba songs.
Very high intensity, breaking a sweat for sure.

I looked in on the Zumba class here repeatedly the other night...and at no point did it look high intensity. I think I got jipped. :grumble: I have seen some great Youtube vids on it.
