Yes, coffee! If that doesn't help, and if this is not an ongoing issue for you, then you might try senna tea. I don't recommend it for long term use but when you've got an occassional problem it will help. The kind I get has chinese (mandarin or cantonese) writing on it and it's called "diet tea". Just brew it for 10-15 minutes and drink. Just make sure you're near a washroom for the next 12 hours or so!!

And if that fails...resort to Magnesium Citrate. And with that you need to be near a bathroom, it's usually recommended to take prior to going in for a colonoscopy (sp).

Thanks everyone, I probably will drink some dark coffee and eat a good batch of oatmeal, today!...

Forgot to write this before, but I also hope you're drinking plenty of water!
  • Take a few tomatoes, couple of chunks of garlic, a jalapeno pepper, chop it all up and dip some pita bread in it - takes me no less than 20 minutes!

take prunes. They do the job. I once ate 10 of those in one sitting and went to the bathroom 3 times in one night. I should have taken them during the day...:grumble:

FYI, Contrary to the popular believe fiber works with lots of water. It can become an obstruction if not taken with enough water. The Coffe is highly recommended, prune juice does work regardless of what the studies claim.
