Questions about this group/team thing?

Hey there, I'm new here!
I'm confused about the whole group and team things...kind of.
Obviously it's a group of people with the same general goal, but most of them are 'closed'? How do I ever find one to join :( And they're always a million posts in..it seems like I'd just get lost and it wouldn't be very personal.
How do you guys feel about them?

Um.. Just join a bunch? Read the group descriptions and some of the posts. See if that's the group for you and join. If not, keep searching.

I don't know what to say about them not being personal. :/ Depends on the group.

I'd rather not commit to something I know nothing about...

How do you not know about something if you read the description? .-. They're groups - online groups. There is no commitment (unless you're talking about challenge teams, but that is still nothing to get hyper about).
  • Hey, well i have a group called the P90X challenge for those who wish to work their butts off!! and get great results. It's open for any ages, but limited. Like you said with too many people and too many posts it gets confusing. So we've kepted limited. If you want you can check it out and if you like it you can j oin. :)

Im not quite sure what you mean. Groups have a specific description of what they are. Join one that fits your goals and introduce youself.

There are also member made challenge groups/threads. These are usually made by some ambitious, dedicated human who sets up a challenge (like losing ten pounds by Christmas) and then people who want to join up post in that thread. They are Closed when there are so many people or a timeline has begun (like the thread was started three weeks ago).

You can join any Group any time. You will have to wait til you see a particular Challenge thread thats open to join.

It is up to you to make friends by posting regularly and getting to know people.
