Thinking about making Cookbooks for Christmas gifts. What are you giving this year?
Homemade gift :flowerforyou: , store bought :drinker: or nothing at all :grumble: ???

What are your secrets to the Holiday of Giving???

Let's see! We do Dirty Santa with the adults in both families. It is a great time. And soooo funny. And the guys are so competitive.

We set a $20 limit and no gag gifts.

We also do this at my job. The limit is $10. And this year I am making a 'money tree'. I bought a cute tinsel tree at Dollar Tree and I am going to attach 40 quarters to be the ornaments. It will be great for all of the coworkers that like to hit the snack machines.

Last year I did 12 rolls of Scott Toilet Paper! It was a big hit!

Can't wait to see everyones ideas. :)

Email everyone you know (separately so they don't know youre emailing everyone) and ask them for their favorite recipe and why they like it. Then buy binders and print all the recipes out with their name at the top and add the little note at the top with why they like it.

But you should be vague but honest that you will be lending out the recipe to others so they dont get upset with you.

    Dirty Santa: Our way
Set a dollar amount. Buy the best you can get for the money. This is great if you get things that are on sale.

All gifts go into a pile. Each player picks a number. You can either pick from the pile or you can steal a gift from someone that has already picked a gift.

A gift can only be stolen 3 times then it is considered 'dead'. And that person keeps it. All gifts have to be opened once you pick one so that everyone can see it and decide if they want to steal it from you or choose one of the wrapped ones waiting in the pile.

    Lots of fun.
