Is anyone using it and if so, is it working for you? I'm going to try and stick to the first two tiers.

I just looked it up to see what that is and have no interest in anything to do with Beach Body products.

However, I found a list of the foods here: http://www.teambeachbody.com/eat-smart/michis-ladder

I find it interesting that (nonfat) refried beans made their top list of good food.

If you don't mind me asking, why don't you like Beach Body? Their P90X and Insanity DVD's are supposed to be amazing.

I don't know. I have an intolerance for some of the food listed, but I love the P90 workout.

You can eat right, lose weight, exercise and get fit without their gimmicks.

There are lots of free videos on the market that are just as effective.

I'm trying to prove that you can lose weight and get into shape with as few paid things or "gimmicks" as possible.

For example, you don't really need a gym or machines because you can work out at home (aerobics, yoga, dancing, strength exercises) or outside (biking, sports, walking and jogging).

The only thing that I've paid for so far is a new (better) scale. I get "real" food and the only "processed" food that I get are frozen meals from Lean Pockets or Lean Cuisine to make calorie counting easier and faster and more convenient. Otherwise, I eat mostly unprocessed food with a focus on whole grains, fruit and veggies and drink lots of water. The only things that I drink besides water are tea and coffee. I incorporated more beans, berries and nuts (almonds) in my diet and more protein.

I lost 20 pounds without spending money on extras. That's my preference and it's working and would work for others.

Thanks! I agree with you. You don't need gimmicks to lose weight. I'm just going to the gym (can't work out at home) and dieting. Found the ladder online and was curious about it. What scale did you buy? I need a new one too.
