don't waste your money. you can't spot reduce and most of those ab exercise machines get boring pretty quickly...partly because no matter how long you do them, you don't see results in the belly. if your hubby is interested in burning fat, buy him some boot camp sessions at a local gym (normally, you don't have to be a gym member to sign up for the boot camp...but check that out). one can only choose to burn fat...and your body determines where it is burnt from.
  • I had it years ago and I agree with the previous poster, it is a complete waste of time and money. It's a scam.

Let me third that. Complete waste of money. It he wants to get rid of the belly the bootcamp sessions are a good idea. Or purchase him a training program like Turbulence Training or get him some exercise DVDs that he might like.

I tried one at sport chalet but I didn't care too much for it considering the price. Maybe for $5 but that's about it. I got an ab coaster off craigslist and I like it but I exercise late at night and the sliding noise bothers my husband so I don't really use it. Do you have a heart rate monitor? That would be a great gift. Or a body media fit or body Bugg. If you have a sports or fitness store or maybe even a sears, I'd look around there and see if you can try it out before you make up your mind.

Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training program is pretty dang awesome. efficient, but tough workouts.

She is looking for a gift idea to ask for FROM her husband, not FOR him.

whoopsie. regardless, boot camp and turbulence training are both good programs for women.
