I understand that noone is meant to have less than 1200 calories a day, but I find that when I do manage to eat that many calories I gain the weight! Besides, I am finding it very difficult to eat that much! I usually manage around 1000 calories. According to myfitnesspal I already have 500 deficit per day, so how can I be gaining weight!!??

Does anyone know why this is happening?

  • That might be the problem itself. Your metabolism slowed down to allow for such low calorie intake. Try raising it to 1200 or higher for a few weeks and you'll probably start losing again.

I weigh myself every week, but measuring? No. Does that matter?
