I need an inexpensive HRM that can also provide pace (either by gps or footpod).
I can use my iphone for pace, but it's hard to see when strapped to my arm.
I tend to start off to fast on my runs, and fall off alot.

Yea.. Inexpensive and HRM don't go together.. ESP if you want GPS.

Either look at Garmin or Look at the Polar FT60.. I saw it on Amazon for around 123.

Both Garmin(not sure what models) and the FT60 have the capability for GPS.

I think runkeeper is your cheapest best way to map your route, get pace, distance, keep records for you, and much more. I am also with the young lady above me. Theres nothing about HRM and cheap that work good together.

How often does it give feedback? I use the Nike+ app, but I only get feedback every .5K, would like to set a target and be told if I'm over/under.
