Does anyone take fat burning supplements?

I am curious about these and how effective they are......... I haven't taken anything thus far. I've lost 95 pounds in two years and struggle w/ toning up! I do weight training/strength training 3-4 times a week. I'm in the stages of focusing on that more than I am losing at this point. I am 5 pounds away from my goal weight according to the scale........ however I feel like I LOOK 10-15 pounds heavier than I am because of the excess fat... any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!

I don't think any supplement is ging to make your muscles look more toned - it takes exercise to do that.
Specifically strength work, from what I've read.
Edited to add: I just reread your message - you've lost 95 pounds, that's fantastic!!0 -
I take 100mg Ubiquinol (reduced CoQ10). There's not much scientific proof to back that it's a fat burning supplement, but I think it's been helping my metabolism. I eat 1,800 calories a day and I'm still losing 1-2 pounds a week0

I've tried... not worth the money... MORE for the health effects... you become convinced you're not taking enough and take even just one more a day and feel like crap because of the ingredients, cost yourself a fortune...and they still don't "work"...keep up your good work...you've come this far already.... whats a few more weeks doing it the healthy and LONG LASTING way?
Besides... the ones that claim to work, stop working when you come off them and you put on fat....0 -

Essentially a B Vitamin supplement which I WOULD reccomend... As is convenient form and essential to healthy thyroid and REGULAR but healthy metabolism. Nowhere near as expensive and actually, I have and do use this and rate it, I feel healthier. No side effects like jittery ness from caffeine etc. x0 -
My trainer has me taking CLA and L-Carnitine... Both taken together are supposed to act as a fat burner.
So far, I think they work.. but then again, you can't be sure which is the pills and which is exercise.0 -
Fat burning supplements can help, but you should first make sure your diet is on point. You're obviously on the right track since you've begun a good weight loss plan, but you'll need to keep adjusting the diet as your weight goes down. Depending on how sensitive you are to stimulant, Oxyelite was one of the more effective thermgenics I've tried, but I find it most effective when I'm down to trying to lose that last stubborn amount of bodyfat at the end of a cutting phase.0

If there was actually a pill that worked well for weight loss, everyone would be taking it. Don't waste your money.0

Hi All,
I am taking Alli. I've only been taking it for two weeks so it's too soon to give an opinion on it's effectiveness. However, the possibility of the side effects (uncontrollable or liquid bowel movements, need I say more?) keeps me from going over 15 grams of fat per meal. It could very well be that that is it's magic, but that's fine w/me. I am a food addict and need the extra help. It is very expensive but I spent a whole lot on quitting smoking and don't regret that. I have three and a half years, thank you. And my losing weight is a matter of life and death, and I'm not being over dramatic!
Having said all that, I don't think it would help at the point you are. Alli keeps you from absorbing new fat eaten.
You can do it, niknak, you can do it!0 -
I'm hoping that Santa Claus brings me some fat burning pills! All this watching what I eat and getting up early to run outside in the cold is getting really old...0

I'm hoping Santa brings me some fat burning pills that actually work. I want to eat cake and cookies and stay home to watch movies instead of working out every night, too!0 -
Regardless of what 'fat burner' you take, its still up to you to do the work.0

If you supplement your diet with exercise, you will eventually get the results you want. Be patient.0

No I do not. I tried Oxy Elite Pro for maybe a week and it was horrible. The only thing it did was give me an afternoon crash.0

I take Stackers. They help to increase my energy more than anything! They may enhance my metabolism some, but I still have to do the work!!!!!!0

Do I detect a bit of sarcasm here? I still have to eat properly w/Alli. I cannot do aerobic exercise yet as I have severe shortness of breath due to emphysema. I am hoping that once I lose a good amount of weight I will be able to exercise like you. For now I settle for using dumb bells and gaining strength.
ps: I wish Santa Claus would bring me a new set of lungs.I'm hoping that Santa Claus brings me some fat burning pills! All this watching what I eat and getting up early to run outside in the cold is getting really old...
