Hi
I dont know about you but i struggle to find low cal puddings that work for the whole family without anyone thinking they are being forced to eat 'diet food'
So this Sunday i was struggling for an idea and this is what i came up with (sorry but the ingredients are very UK )
Per person
1 x Morrisons ready made meringue nests (53 calories each)
1 x pack of No Added Sugar Dream Topping made with skimmed milk (shared between 4) (74 calories for 1/4 pack)
1/2 x Hartleys low cal ready made jelly pot (5 calories)
1/2 x morrisons extra value fairy cake (37 calories)
Total of 169 calories each
Simply break up the meringue nest into an individual glass dish, tip in half the pot of jelly and mix around with the meringue, break up half a fairy cake and put on top. Then a generous 'blob' of dream topping (chocolate shavings on top if you feel like it)
Think the addition of red berries would also be good (but my kids not so keen on fruit)
This tasted amazing, was quite a big bowl full and was really like trifle.
