I hear eating spicy foods like chili peppers will kick your metabolism up a notch, but will putting lots of chili powder on my food instead of the actual chili have the same effect on my metabolism? Thanks if anyone has an answer for me!

The effects are negligable at best. Don't bother.0 -
It is the spice, not the vehicle (food) that does the trick, so using the spice and making your food ** HOT! ** will still kick up your metabolism. Also, spicy mustard, cumin, and lots of garlic will help too!0

Cayenne pepper and mustard seeds supposed to be particularly good for this as well - good luck!0

I use red pepper on most of my food. I can not say if it really helps my metabolism or not .0
