If anyone has some good suggestions for a exercise newbie for the weekly challenge, could you please PM me? That would be great, I'm having a hard time thinking of something. FYI, I've already tried yoga, pilates, zumba, bollywood, slim in 6, running/jogging/walking, lifting weights, and the elliptical!

Google Tabata training, you can do it at home or look for classes in your area. Kettlebell training, Its another of those new trends to hit, It is great for strengh and cardio training.

Thanks for those, but Tabata seems a bit intimidating >< I'm not in very good shape!

start with just 4 min work out do it at your own pace and you will see a difference, as you get fitter you can add more sets and do more reps of your chosen exercise's. I have a tabata timer on my phone that I use at home. I have only just got up to doing more than 4 mins (1 set)

Happy Tuesday to everyone that is still following along. I am officially off bed rest and have been moved to light activity. I should be able to keep up with this group a little better since I can actually get on the computer. So with no further delay here is the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqfM2VasNXWbdGJlN1dXbVpfRzBYQUE3VXdBR1Q5cVE

The names that are in green are people that have been with this challenge before. The new members are all red. The solid color blocks under the dates are for people that did not log in. The rest of the chart should be pretty easy to follow. If you have any questions about it though don't be affraid to ask.

Congrats to rlhunsucker for already meeting your personal goal for the month. In just 12 days they managed to drop an amazing 8 pounds and 3.86% of their Body Weight.

Our biggest loser for the week is Alexdur85 with an amazing 5.4 pounds drop in one week! Way to go!! You get to pick our optional weekly challenge this week.

Second place goes to spoden6 following close behind with 5 pounds gone in one week!

Sittingduck managed to finish third this week with a drop of 4.4 pounds.

Congrats to everyone that has managed to stick it out with or without any changes on the scale. Part of the challenge is to stick with it and not give up. We started off with 134 people. However, we are already missing several people. Next week I will be deleted people from the spreadsheet that haven't check in for two weeks or more. Good luck this week!

I am in! I just joined MFP yesterday on the advice of my doctor.

    Real name is Shelly.

Goal weight on December 31st: 175

12/01: 176.6 WooHoo!!! If I keep this up I will be below my goal long before the end of the year!
12/05: 175.5 Down another town! Go me! Go me!
12/12: 176.0 Well, sort of maintained..I did go a bit overboard..and did not compensate by exercising more, so...it's all good.

Glad to hear you are up and moving around now!

And can I say WOW to my loss! I kept going between the same couple pounds for what felt like forever!!! I finally upped my cals and what to ya know.. lost weight! I love being able to eat more! haha!

My challenge for this week is to try a new vegetable or fruit. Something you don't usually eat. If you can't think of anything then try to cook something in a different way. For example I started subbing turnips for potatoes in crockpot beef stew! Lower cals and yummo!
