water weight

Im hoping you guys can help me out...
3 weeks ago I weighed 144. I have been eating right etc. working out, and I FEEL like ive lost weight. Theres less inch to pinch. I weighed myself this morning, expecting to weight like 142 or something, and i weighed 147. Im not freaking out or beating myself up over it - the past week ive been eating LOTS of salty food. Do you guys agree that this could simply just be water weight?
Please say yes!

    It could be but if I were you I would really start tracking my sodium intake ...are the salty foods also fattening?..if so you will have to look at your diet and make changes.

    I added my sodium onto my food list here. Its easier to watch then.

    Yes, One week I gained 8 lbs and my docter increase my water pills and I lost it real quick. ---- Caliecat
  • totally watch the sodium... I've had a bad day here and there and it always makes me retain water when the culprate is sodium.
  • yeahh, you guys are probably right, sodium is the culrpit.
    Its not that ive been eating bad horrible foods - just a lot of canned soup, canned veggies, pickles, sardines, adding salt to my cooking.. i dont know why im so nuts with salt lately! ill cut back

    I am with you on the salt, I have lost weight but I just bought a can of salted peanuts, which I am sure is gonna show up the next few days on the scale.....argh. I am a salty salterton too.

    Interesting you brought this up because my scale was up this morning also. I just added sodium to my food diary and noticed my last couple of days have been high. Sodium is probably the culprit.
