I am looking for a heart rate monitor, I want it to take my heart rate and estimate calories burned. Has anyone had good luck with any of the strapless versions? The mio drive.....e-pulse 2? Has anyone tried them and what do you recommend? Or is it better to get one with a strap? If I go with the strap I am thinking about a Garmin with GPS, but not sure I need one so fancy.
suggestions please

the ones with chest straps are more accurate, i would go with one of those.
i have a polar ft4 and love it! it was about $60 on amazon.com.. it does heart rate and calories burned..0 -
I returned my strapless one to wal-mart and ordered a bowflex model amazon.0

Get one with a strap.. Preferably a Polar as they tend to be the most accurate in estimating calories burned.
They have a GPS model, it's the FT60... On amazon its about 123, but normally retails for around 200. The most popular Polars though are the FT4 and FT7.0 -
The ft4 is 55 shipped Amazon and the ft7 is 71 shipped... I ordered the ft7 for 72 expedited shipping a couple days ago when the FT4 WAS still 65
..... I should have waited
