How do you calculate calories burned for sprints?

Hi--This Saturday I completed four miles alternating sprints and walking every 1/8 mile. Does anyone have any idea how to calculate how many calories I burned? I am sure the MFP exercise calculator would explode if I asked it for an answer.
Thanks matt

if you vaguely know how many minutes of that total you ran vs walked you could plug it seperately into MFP. Otherwise hopefully someone with an HRM can tell you what they would burn doing that. for me 20 minutes of jogging is about 200 calories but I am female and probably smaller than you.0

I use a stop watch- start it when I start to run, stop it when I walk. If I'm out for an hour and my stop watch is at say 20 minutes then I know I ran for 20 minutes and walked the other 40. Hope that's helpful!0

I would like to know this too, track started today and we do mostly sprinting and jogging intervals so it would be nice to know!0
