Needed - Gently Used Track or Running Shoes

Hi all, a gal who was in my running group over the summer has sent out a message, requesting gently used running, track or trainers of any kind. A friend of her daughter's teaches at a high poverty high school in rural Mississippi and is going to set up and coach a girls' track team at the high school in spring 2012. If anyone has used or outgrown track shoes, running shoes or trainers, adult sizes that they would be willing to donate, please PM me and I'll forward you the information for who to send them to.

    I think I may have a pair of track shoes lurking in my closet that I've never used. I'll check tonight- using this as a reminder to myself. I'll message you if I find them.

    Just a FYI - it's always better to go with a less expensive new shoe - if that's a possibility - maybe gift cards ($5 or $10)???

    They risk the chance of used shoes doing more harm than good - just trying to be helpful.... the used shoes run (no pun intended) the risk of throwing the person's alignment off balance - due to potential pronation
