A bit dorky but...

It might be a bit dorky to post about, but I had kind of a dieting revalation yesterday and I set my first goal.
I always read about them and I had things in the back of my mind like ¨I want to be *this many* kilos¨ or I will keep dieting until I feel comfortable in a bikini...etc
But yesterday I was driving around and I realised that it was 2.5 weeks until my brithday.
And then it was like this moment when I realised I will just be extra committed and not break until my birthday (it probably seems dumb but I dont think Iǘe ever gone more than 5 days without blowing my diet).

Anyway. Thats my new goal. Itś 2.5 weeks of commitment and thats it. It seems so much easy then this vague idea of dieting until I am a stick figure.

Also it was like a rolling thing. When I realised after the birthday, I just need to set a 3 week goal until my holiday,
And then when I get back I will be in rehersals for the specific play I am dieting for - and I imagine once I am rehearsing in a bathing suit in front of my cast every other day the idea of coming home and eating a pizza will be much less appealing.

I guess to some people this would seem very obvious, I´ve always thought that I had goal but it is only now that I´ve realised that they were just way too vague to work.

nothing dorky about this post. I can totally relate. It reminds me of when I started my attempt at jogging on the treadmill. I would make a goal of jogging for a minute, then walk for a minute or two, then jog etc etc etc. Every time I went, I'd try to jog longer.
It's totally the same with food intake, or anything I reckon.
Soon, it will just become second nature, and you will find yourself in the thinner more healthier version of you, and eating more healthy will be what you WANT and choose to do rather than fighting the urges for the pizza etc.
I think your goal is awesome and I think you will succeed with this mindset. Go for it!
