I stink at push ups which really sucks especial since there are push ups in The 30 Day Shred. I found http://hundredpushups.com. It gives you a schedule to follow and claims to have you doing 100 push ups in 6 weeks. Thought I'd share. I started today with my 10 yr old who also can't do a push up to save his life and struggles with them during football practices.

I love push ups! They're such an underrated workout.
  • 100 pushups is a great program but I found it takes a little more than 6 weeks for some of us. My number 1 tip is don't just stick to full pushups when you can do them. Do full pushups to failure then drop to your knees and bang out as many modified as possible too. Took me a while to realize that...

Thanks I'm going to try this too! I've got Warrior Dash coming up next month & want to make sure I've got my upper body in good shape for those obstacles!

I might have to try this! I did some push ups yesterday, strangely the workout I was doing said to do 12 to 15 reps...I can't remember if I did 12 or 15, but I did all of them and the last couple were really hard. Thanks for sharing!

Isn't it amazing how those "old school" exercises really do the trick? Push ups, squat thrusts, jumping jacks, pull ups and single leg lunges. You don't need new exercises, you just need to do them!

Totally agree, if it isn't broken then why fix it?

That's the only way I can get through the few I do on The Shred. I am terrible at push ups but I do as many as I can this way on The Shred. I know that doing push ups is an amazing exercise.
