I am new to this type of support, hope this works I am currently 204 lbs not very happy with myself, about 8 years I got down to 145 lbs was looking good. Over time and medications that keep me hungry (predinsone yuk) after a car accident I began to gain the wgt back. Past few years kinda been a yo-yo effect was holding steady at about 184 lbs for 2 years then things changed and the wgt keeps sneaking up. I need all of the help I can get at this time. Would like to know of exercises that are easy on the knees I have a cartlidge defect that was discovered 1.5 yrs ago. this limits my movements at times (jumping, running, squating). Any ideas from anyone will be greatly appreciated.

My husband has cartilage missing in his knee. He uses our elliptical. I use the elliptical also. I have peripheral neuropathy and running is bad for the nerves in my legs. Swimming is also good. Low impact.

Welcome Debbie, you are in the right place for help, support, inspiration and SUCCESS, I joined MFP on June 25th, I am 68 yrs old, and have bone on bone in both knees, I have not been able to hardly do any exercises, I have lost 43 lbs., I am eating as healthy as I can, it is more important to me, to be healthy than to be thin, but you will have both if you eat healthy and take care of yourself, keeping an acurate food jouranal really helps, we have something else in common, I am also orginally from Hampton, VA, have lived in WA state for the last 48 yrs., my family are all still in VA.

I would like to be you Pal in this Weight Loss Journey and be of any help that I can be.

    Your Friend & Pal Pearl
